The aroma of jerk cuisine, roast fish, curry, mannish water, roti, bake and salt fish, and various other succulent Caribbean culinary specialties will tickle your senses. Add to that the pulsating sounds of Reggae, Dancehall, Calypso, and Soca. You could very well mistake the Georgia capital for a Caribbean capital city, say Kingston, Port of Spain, or Georgetown.

As the only event of its type in the state of Georgia, the annual Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival has been bringing the flavors and rhythms of the Caribbean to Georgia and surrounding states for the past eight years.

Atl’s Top Jerk Chef

The ultra competitive cook-off competition to determine ATLANTA’S TOP JERK CHEF is a major highlight of JERK FEST.

First time entrant Chef Leroy Pennant impressed the judges to pick up the coveted 2013 GRACE FOODS ATLANTA TOP JERK CHEF trophy. Chef Donald Roberts of Juci Jerk Restaurant was the runner-up. The judging panel was comprised of chefs and culinary educators from Le Cordon Bleu College.

Each year established, amateur and aspiring chefs compete for cash, trophies and most importantly bragging rights as the top jerk chef in Atlanta.
